20 minutes down!

Today is the day where you according to Nike you are supposed to find your greatness.

I decided to go out for a run today even though it was a scheduled off day.

I chose to move on to week 7 day 1 of my C25k program and do the following

5 min walk warmup

20 min run

5 min walk cooldown

Wait,

Go back…

I ran for 20 minutes straight!

I know it is not a huge ginormous feat, but you have no idea how far I have come from being almost 80 pounds heavier and not exercising to now being able to run and gearing up for my first 5k in 2 weeks!

Now, although I am excited and giddy…I am exhausted.
So I am going to take a nice long nap and perhaps post again later tonight.

But I will leave you with an accurate drawing of my daily whine routine before exercising and jogging.

  1. Congrats on your run! You’ll find that the more conditioned you get, the first mile sucks, but once you’re on a roll you can run forever. And I LOVE the graphic … it’s totally true ๐Ÿ˜‰
